WINDSOR TWP., Mich. (WLNS) – A fire damaged the Diamondback Motorcycle Club building early Christmas morning.
William Fabijancic, Jr, assistant fire chief with Windsor Township Fire Department, tells 6 News his department was dispatched to the location in the 7000 block of Windsor Highway Christmas morning just after 10:30 a.m.
“We had a reported structure fire, no injuries, no one hurt,” he says. “The cause of the fire is under investigation in conjunction with the Michigan State Police.”
He says the agency received assistance from Delta Township, Grand Ledge and Eaton Rapids fire departments in battling the blaze.
The building, he says, may not be a total loss, but an official from the club – who declined to give his name – says there was extensive damage inside the building. As a result, he says, the club will be looking to relocate.
The building has played home to the club’s entertainment events and charity fundraisers for years. The same club member tells 6 News it was a shame the fire happened on Christmas day.
